Version: 4.0.1.19-0

When I start a session on a remote machine running Linux Mint 13 Xfce 
(Ubuntu 12.04) and open a terminal with bash, the PATH environment 
variable is not set correctly. It is 
/home/user/bin:/home/user/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin as opposed to 
/home/user/bin:/home/user/bin:/home/user/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games 
which I get when I use desktop sharing.

Maybe this is related to Bug#1017, which also does not appear with desktop 
sharing.

unfortunately, there has been no response to this bug report for over a 
year and also no answer to this question on the Ubuntu forum:

The problem still remains ... Do you plan on doing something about it?
