package: x2goserver
version: 4.0.1.16
severity: normal
If you install the Trinity Desktop Environment on Ubuntu 12.04 from
the official Trinity project's repo[1], x2goruncommand assumes that
for the "TRINITY" session it needs to run:
/usr/bin/starttrinity
However, the session fails to start because that file exists at this
path instead:
/opt/trinity/bin/startkde
I am about to commit a fix for this. x2goruncommand will check for
/opt/trinity/bin/startkde and run that if it exists. Otherwise, it
will default to running /usr/bin/starttrinity .

Hi Mike#1,
In X2Go Server baikal (release/4.0.0.x), Trinity is supported and it
is affected by this bug.
Should I fix this bug in baikal, heuler, and 4.1.0.0? Or only in
heuler and 4.1.0.0?
I'm thinking that I should investigate how Trinity is launched on
various other distros, and then decide.

IMHO, a fix for this bug in Baikal is not required.

Closing this bug. Different startup variants of the Trinity DE have
been added with x2goserver commit 1f7fe29bb.
