This may not be a bug but I believe this would help somehow.

I tried setting up the Chrooted environment on the Ubuntu 14.04 out of
curiosity

I know it is not a supported platform..

I see that everything reports success however trying to boot the thin
clients ( with both physical/vms)

I see the kernel trying to load and the blue loading animation and finally
it shows a black screen ..

I will try to fix this/ or find a solution however wanted to report this
bug just in case someone can benefit.

I am happy to give access to my virtual machines incase someone wants to
look into.

Dear Paim,

it is possible to install the package x2gothinclientmanagement script
on Ubuntu machines.

It will debootstrap a X2Go TCE chroot that is based on Debian wheezy.

This Debian based X2Go TCE should then be able to boot. You can use a
Ubuntu server to host this chroot.

Nothing more is supported for Ubuntu, the chroot itself must be Debian.

Please report back, if you tried this setup or if you actually tried
to install an X2Go TCE chroot based on Ubuntu.

If the first failed, we need to fix it. If the latter failed, then
this is not a bug.

Thanks+Greets,
Mike

Hi Mike,

I installed the x2gothinclientmanagementscripts on the Ubuntu 14.04.

Then I setup everything within the chroot to be the standard Debian /Wheezy

When i tried to boot the image via Pxe/tftp, it did not work.

So i am sure there is an issue somewhere that prevents the thinclient
envinroment to fail on the new 14.04 trusty.

However I believe that docker again can help us do things more easily than
this cumbersome /larger setup. I will try and create a thinclient
envinroment that directly boots via docker and is much easier to setup this
weekend.
