Encountering the same issue in 4.0.5.0 on Linux. In my case, I suspect it
is caused by a backslash in the remote username. We use Windows ADS for
authentication and our usernames have the form "DOMAIN\first.last". The '\'
might need to be escaped in the home directory alias.
