Subject: FW: Port to Qt6 as Qt5 is EOL since 2025
Date: Mon, 13 Apr 2026 16:34:59 +0000
Package: x2goclient
Version: 4.1.2.3

Qt5 is EOL since May 2025 and requires a subscription license for extended support (https://www.qt.io/blog/qt-5.15-extended-support-for-subscription-license-holders).
Distributions are starting to drop x2goclient as qt5 is slowly faded out (https://bugs.gentoo.org/955192).

Are there any plans for x2goclient to be ported to qt6 in the near future, before more distributions start dropping it (as getting the package back is usually quite a hassle)? I would miss x2go a lot on my system.

Thank you so much for your work,
Best regards,
  Frederik
