So please describe how we can replicate your problem. Did you use the package or the tarball? When you run the jitsi binary from the command line, does it display any errors on stdout or stderr? Did you ever have jitsi before?  If so, it may have left a stray configuration file.  If the configuration file includes a setting to dock the main window then you won't see any window when you run it, you have to look for the tray icon or tweak the configuration file: $ grep -i tray .jitsi/sip-communicator.properties net.java.sip.communicator.impl.systray.showApplication=true Regards, Daniel From ulrich.sibiller@gmail.com Fri Nov 24 22:38:49 2017 Received: (at 1233) by bugs.x2go.org; 24 Nov 2017 21:38:50 +0000 X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 3.4.1 (2015-04-28) on ymir.das-netzwerkteam.de X-Spam-Level: X-Spam-Status: No, score=-0.7 required=3.0 tests=BAYES_00,DKIM_SIGNED, DKIM_VALID,DKIM_VALID_AU,FREEMAIL_FROM,FREEMAIL_REPLYTO, FREEMAIL_REPLYTO_END_DIGIT autolearn=no autolearn_force=no version=3.4.1 Received: from localhost (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by ymir.das-netzwerkteam.de (Postfix) with ESMTP id 62DCD5DACF for <1233@bugs.x2go.org>; Fri, 24 Nov 2017 22:38:49 +0100 (CET) X-Virus-Scanned: Debian amavisd-new at ymir.das-netzwerkteam.de Received: from ymir.das-netzwerkteam.de ([127.0.0.1]) by localhost (ymir.das-netzwerkteam.de [127.0.0.1]) (amavisd-new, port 10024) with ESMTP id BFZbPWUl0fc3 for <1233@bugs.x2go.org>; Fri, 24 Nov 2017 22:38:44 +0100 (CET) Received: from mail-ua0-x22d.google.com (mail-ua0-x22d.google.com [IPv6:2607:f8b0:400c:c08::22d]) by ymir.das-netzwerkteam.de (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 4F7FC5DACC for <1233@bugs.x2go.org>; Fri, 24 Nov 2017 22:38:44 +0100 (CET) Received: by mail-ua0-x22d.google.com with SMTP id e10so15492941uah.10 for <1233@bugs.x2go.org>; Fri, 24 Nov 2017 13:38:44 -0800 (PST) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=gmail.com; s=20161025; h=mime-version:reply-to:in-reply-to:references:from:date:message-id :subject:to; bh=+/WB8Lg6ElWgb1O+hRbDkp8cFVouqCTta1AwJJ25A6o=; b=YvxBrZT5TLBlwVIiMJpd4cVKpuynuQIqX/qE0AusGS8MyKiRjb+TVrXmb8ScXqgWgL 5/juvVcB3yUqiGcvlrH2eTkEmp9YPmk1kHFx5jPhukXtp/+RYJUZAAtljSNElum2VpWc h6xA1JEeV1xs+xdkOHDYJwNcGeb9+/huMkZtGqEIfgp4VyEgrbmDrGy5svVA4VV63A9S cU979SrauZM2mkqpBC7NTnkNtBGgirBzEzCI6wGdUG42P8DwU/EgHNTd+tEogo1kMCrA JyieEZ/QXg/vmI6N6J77RcftizpmKpChiFLQ+lJq9lsWS0yIwe/SIdZgUzpiaZCthlsj nxfA== X-Google-DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=1e100.net; s=20161025; h=x-gm-message-state:mime-version:reply-to:in-reply-to:references :from:date:message-id:subject:to; bh=+/WB8Lg6ElWgb1O+hRbDkp8cFVouqCTta1AwJJ25A6o=; b=jqk93YskppLkStltNnVOp63Z35C8N319xBzTsVg7e4byr2SpJV7M71BRM7sVBCs5de nl2px/9Yk4xvO4VLSa8rhtOmQsU22rMpLU0uQoOzedE2l8nnJOb7DQvvPS3Dlgl4vGP+ yL+AIURnhYfYrssoEXkDCb7iQDtf6TlpByYr60NkCpJY2gI6TCOcArBmnMbdnWpXZrOM BplrgqXljBuDm/MD4+AOBULBInppv49mK/5fpdxtUioojBE7pRiXj+haMVbE4alsPdNP ntytlHXtdecg9Azp72M0xtTCCAyws6pjw8dEapphl56DJcdoH9BsBHokLckPiCH3TjAj rBvA== X-Gm-Message-State: AJaThX4R6XLwU3040jcS5O3EUfD8uX8gVGnCrpAXEFi5PlOTg4h2q54W iroSjWn5B3YRtYtWsmxd6Z+M2UeD+2bvCmNPHuoJ/1dX X-Google-Smtp-Source: AGs4zMaT8pjH9O/v6ezENHzgLurnruE4eUGCfjHX49etGWJXmeTB34sp08RKMmTvOoz8+I8K7nIwxUh/QQmpWQsQuqE= X-Received: by 10.159.48.198 with SMTP id k6mr25071082uab.119.1511559523167; Fri, 24 Nov 2017 13:38:43 -0800 (PST) MIME-Version: 1.0 Received: by 10.176.72.39 with HTTP; Fri, 24 Nov 2017 13:38:22 -0800 (PST) Reply-To: uli42@gmx.de In-Reply-To: References: <0e385edd-6f25-9faa-f250-45f807203b3e@pocock.pro> From: Ulrich Sibiller Date: Fri, 24 Nov 2017 22:38:22 +0100 Message-ID: Subject: Re: [X2Go-Dev] Bug#1233: Bug#1233: Jitsi (Java Swing?) windows not rendered correctly To: Daniel Pocock , 1233@bugs.x2go.org Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Ah, that's the first problem: I don't even have anything called "jitsi"...
