My DE is MATE 1.12.1 (Ubuntu 16.04 based).
This is not the default ubuntu-mate-desktop meta package but a custom light=
weight MATE install with individuals packages selected.
Maybe I missed a needed package but which one ?

Objet: Re: [X2Go-Dev] Bug#1155: Volume levels are not saved with TCE=20

Walid,=20

something seems to be wrong with your DE setup.=20

I must admit, I was confused as well - I believed local and remote=20
volume controls are totally independent; they are not.=20

The way I tested things was:=20
- Boot TC.=20
- Log in on TC console as user, become root=20
- apt-get update && apt-get install alsa-utils on TC=20
- run alsamixer on TC -> Notice how both Master and PCM are at 0.=20
- chvt 7=20
- Log in to an X2Go session -> Notice how startup sound plays=20
- switch back to console where alsamixer runs=20
-> Notice Master is now at 100=20
-> Notice PCM is at the same value as set inside X2Go session=20
- Move the volume slider in the X2Go session up and down=20
-> Notice PCM volume in alsamixer move along=20
- Disconnect and reconnect session=20
-> Notice volume slider in X2Go session is at the value that was=20
last set=20
-> same goes for terminating the session and starting a new one=20
-> same goes for rebooting the TC before reconnecting=20

So, whatever volume setting I choose in the X2Go session *is* saved and=20
restored upon reconnect, because the DE I chose (Trinity) is behaving=20
correctly.=20

Seems to be a bug with your particular DE, not with X2Go.=20
