Package: X2Go
Version: 4.0.5.0
Hello,
I wish to infom you about the following font problem with ANSYS
Mechanical installed in a RHEL 7 server.
This is the (bad) font with X2go 4.0.5.0 :
and this is the (good) font with TurboVNC:
What could be the reason of the bad font with X2Go ?
Thanks for the X2Go development.
Ciao
Sandro Polato

Hi,
I am the Windows maintainer for X2Go Client. Sorry to hear that you
are running into this issue.
I see that you are using the Windows Client. During the installation,
there are 4 sets of fonts which you can chose to install. Which, if
any of them, do you have installed? If you did not chose to install
all 4 of them, could you retest with all 4 of them installed?
Retesting should involve terminating (logging out of MATE) and
starting a new X2Go session, rather than resuming the session.
-Mike

Hi Mike,
> 2. Logging out of MATE should terminate the session. Are you saying that it is not doing so?
Excuse me, I'm embarrassed to tell you that the Mate logout problem
happens with TurboVNC and not with x2Go! I am comparing more products at
the same time ...
I confirm the font problem using ANSYS Mechanical only with x2Go. There
is not this issue with TurboVNC and Nomachine clients.

Hello!
I've encountered the same problem with ANSYS19 through windows x2go 4.1.2.0 client.
I'm running ANSYS 19 on CentOS 7 server and connecting to it from windows x2go client.
I've already tried windows x2go client with all fonts installed. With no luck unfortunately.
I couldn't understand from bug related e-mailing was the issue solved finally?
If it was then please guide me where can I find the solution.
With best regards,
Anton Valeev.
